The Menorah

The Menorah, with its eight candles adding up to 36 and a central flame between the two sides, forms a total of nine candles or lights. This mirrors the nine planets in our solar system: Mercury, Mars, Earth, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto.

Similarly, there are nine chakras: frequency, vibration, root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye, and crown, each a unique energy center within us.

Our senses too are nine: thought, feeling, knowledge, wisdom, sight, touch, taste, smell, and hearing, providing a full spectrum of human experience.

In the realm of shapes, nine distinct forms emerge: Circle (360), Square (360), Triangle (180), Tetrahedron (720), Octahedron (1440), Cube (2160), Icosahedron (3600), Dodecahedron (6480), and Metatron's Cube (216).

There are also nine colors, ranging from the unseen to the visible spectrum: unseen color, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, and the seen combination.

Reflecting on the eight days of enduring oil, we find a deeper message. The simple act of adding numbers from 1 to 8 (1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8) results in 36, while extending this sequence up to 36 (1+2+3+...+36) totals 666.

This number resonates with the elemental structure of carbon: 6 electrons, 6 protons, and 6 neutrons. It's as if the oil, symbolizing energy and sustenance, ignites the essence of our being, carbon, bringing to life the profound interconnectedness of all things.
